The group Corban was born in the city of Trujillo, Peru in 1999. That year a group of young musicians came together with the same passion to make Rock music with a positive message for youth. Inspired by contemporary music with great messages like Torre Fuerte, Marcos Witt, Marcos Barrientos and others, that played Pop, Rock and other types of music.

The group began to have concerts in their city as well as other neighboring cities and towns. They didn’t have a name yet though.

In May of 2000, they finally came together and formed the group “CORBAN” (Mark 7:11). The word means, “offering to God” or “the best for God.” One of the band members said, “our fountain of inspiration and spiritual guide through which we have grown a lot, and who we owe everything we have … our unity and our strength to continue on” Percy Figueredo.

The purpose of the band is to take music to the remote places of Latin America and sing about Christ in a missional way. They accompany some Inca Link teams and even help with some of the construction. They like to go where other groups wont go… out to the towns and country sides and not just big capital cities.
