North Ridge Church of the Alliance is a great church that not
only trained us well for the mission field but also support us through the Great
Commission Fund. We loved our time at North Ridge in Raleigh so much that we gave
our daughter the name Raleigh as a middle name. Pastor Charlie Long was there
for many years and served as a mentor for us. One of the greatest things that
happened for me was when Charlie supported me, backed me up, even when he wasn’t
completely convinced of what I was doing. That gave me the confidence to continue
on in the ministry.
The church has sent short term teams all over the world including a team to
Peru when we were there as missionaries.
The church is a great missionary training church. There are over 13 missionary
families that have been sent out by that church. The new pastor Sam McGarvey
is doing a great job at taking the church forward in the new millennium.
