Children’s Homes/Orphanages

In El Porvenir, Trujillo, there is a Day care center that is being created to take care of the children of the Garbage Dump while their parents work in the Garbage. So, the plan is to provide a safe and sanitary place for the children. Actually we are going to begin attending to the kids in a few more weeks. Porvenir - Also, there is a Children’s Home/Orphanage that is being built to accommodate 45 children. Some of these children do not have parents, others have parents who have been deemed unfit to care for their children. The goal is always to keep family unity, and the families together, so the leaders of this ministry are working with the families to get them back to the “fit stage”. They are also working with the Ministry of the Mujer and el Niño of Peru.

Lima – This is another project for a Children’s Home in Lima, Peru where some of the poorest children in the world live. The idea is to duplicate what is done in Trujillo. The cost of the land for the Home is about $50,000. Once we have the land we believe that we can build the Home with Short Term Teams.
