Since I have been in Trujillo, Peru I have seen so much growth. Right outside my window they are building a 5 story apartment complex and it has been so cool to see construction crew working every day. Car routes are turning into van routes, van routes are turning into mini-bus routes, and mini-bus routes are turning into big-bus routes. The government is putting in a metropolitan bus line. They are building a new soccer stadium. A new bus terminal. Paving roads, making them wider. Oh the list goes on and on, but I love to see the growth!

And it reminds me of our growth, spiritual growth. I’m sure that God gets so excited when we grow, and growing continually. Trust me, we are not ‘there’ yet. I read a quote, and I forget exactly what it said, but something like: “How do you know if you fulfilled Gods will on earth yet? If you are still here, you didn’t.” Now I know we could get into a lot of theological debates, but that is not my point. My point is that we still have growing to do. There is always some aspect that we can grow to be more like Christ.

1 Peter 2: 2,3 – Like newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up in your salvation, if indeed you have tasted the Lord is good.
Ephesians 4:15,16 – Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

Continue to grow through the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is going to be a lot of hard work, but thank the Lord for the strength that He is going to give. Let’s grow together.
