Ignacio and Meylin Mireles
Ignacio Mireles was born in Mexico and has lived in Idaho and in Colorado most of his life. He attended Boise State University in Boise Idaho for his undergraduate studies. He worked for Target Corporation as an Executive for seven years before receiving his call to missions. While serving in Ecuador, he obtained his master's in Biblical and Theological Studies from Lee University (via SEMISUD in Quito, Ecuador). Meylin Diaz was born in Nicaragua and attended World Harvest Ministries Bible Institute in Somoto, Nicaragua. After graduating in 2007, she worked with youth gangs in Somoto. Then God opened the doors for her to move to Ecuador as a full-time missionary in 2008.
Ignacio and Meylin met in Ecuador while Meylin was serving as a missionary with Mark & Cheryl Shafer and Ignacio was leading short-term mission teams to Ecuador with Church Partnership Evangelism (CPE Inc.). They fell in love and got married in June 2010 in Nicaragua. After their honeymoon, they moved to Ecuador to serve full-time.
While in Ecuador, they worked primarily with rural indigenous communities in the mountain and jungle regions of Ecuador sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ and the good news of the Gospel. In May 2012, Ignacio and Meylin were called and reassigned to Peru where they oversaw Inca Link Peru, managed the Children’s Home in Trujillo, and lead short-term teams with CPE Inc. In 2015, while in the States, their daughter Michaiah was born. Then in 2016, God called them back to Ecuador to serve as Academic Directors at Ninawachi Mission Institute. Following the retirement of founders Mark & Cheryl Shafer, they took over the Director’s duties. Ignacio also serves as a Coach in personal evangelism and discipleship with CPE Inc.
