Kristen Brewer, also known as Kri, was born in San Diego, California. After getting a degree in Child and Adolescent Development at Point Loma Nazarene University, she became an intern for Inca Link in 2012. She worked both in Huaticocha, Ecuador and Trujillo, Peru where her heart and love for God’s children only increased.
She came back to the United States to get a Master’s in Social Work with the intention of learning how to better help people. After she graduated in 2016, she worked in the Tongass National Wilderness of Alaska and took at-risk youth into the jungles for therapy and counseling. During her time as a counselor, she learned that true healing can only be found through the love of Jesus Christ.
After an intern reunion, Kri was reunited with the Inca Link team. With her desire to “love the unloved and heal the broken,” she hopes to use all the skills that God has been fine tuning in her to live out that desire in Latin America.
