• Who are you and what are you doing here? I serve in our Central District, which is western Ontario, and I serve as our missions mobilizer and youth catalyst.
• You have been working with a lot of youth and missions from your district, and you have mobilized many of them on short-term missions. What is some of the fruit you have seen from that? It’s just cool to debrief with them after they have gone on their trip to hear how God, first of all, was working in their lives. Sometimes we go on mission and we think, “what am I going to do to change the world?” But we try to tell them this is about how God is forming you, and what happened in your heart and mind, and see that growth and that formation. But also the heart for the nations, for the community, and to say, “this is something I can do back home” or “maybe God is calling me into more or I should pursue more” as they grow and mature and think about vocation.
• We can testify that young people’s lives have been changed; youth pastors that have gone down have been changed. When you do short-term missions, God grabs your heart and can transform you, those that you are serving on the ground, and those in your youth group. Learn more about Global Outreach Teams.
