Care Partners
In an effort to keep our ministry leaders, missionaries and staff healthy and equipped to serve long term, Inca Link is partnering with a team for member care focused on mental, emotional and spiritual health through counseling and therapy sessions.
Several members of this team include:
Ivan, a psychologist with a passion for fighting against human trafficking, helping victims find healing and ultimately new meaning in their lives; meaning rooted in their identity in Christ. With over 20 years of experience serving others, Ivan brings expertise in assessing individual needs and empowering people to lean into God’s calling for their lives.
Charlene, a Licensed Professional Counselor, grew up on the mission field and understands the life of missionary families and the challenges faced when living overseas. For the past 25 years, Charlene has practiced counseling in the public mental health setting as well as her own private practice. Charlene also serves as a Member care professional for the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
David is an influential psychologist and mentor, whose personal and professional life has been deeply intertwined with the development and well-being of people. David has focused his career on human growth, social justice and conflict transformation. With more than two decades dedicated to enriching lives, his legacy is a testament to the power of conscious leadership and education in shaping future generations.
Mary and her husband Steve worked as C&MA International Workers for 39 years in Cambodia and Thailand. In 2010, they sensed God leading them in a new direction, which was counseling/member care. Mary now continues in the US in private practice as well as serving as adjunct therapist at Alongside Ministries in Richland, MI. Her sweet spots in therapy include the integration of faith and clinical practice, couples therapy, trauma work, and anxiety disorders. Mary and Steve raised their four children in the overseas setting of S.E. Asia and therefore are well acquainted with many of the unique parts of living as global expatriates!
Mireya is a clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience providing psychological counseling, cognitive therapy, psychological assessment, and crisis intervention. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Central University of Ecuador and has completed postgraduate training in cognitive therapy, clinical depression, phobias, and psychopharmacology for psychologists. Throughout her career, she has worked in outpatient and hospital settings, educational institutions, community programs, and church-based counseling ministries. Mireya is passionate about accompanying individuals as they work through emotional and relational challenges, helping them develop healthier coping strategies and move toward a more satisfying and meaningful life.
The mental, emotional and spiritual health of all Inca Link employees is very important to us. As all Inca Link personnel raise their own financial support, finances are tight and people often feel like they can’t spend extra money on receiving good counseling when it’s needed.
The Member Care Account has been created to help with this exact situation. From this account, full-time Inca Link employees will be reimbursed a portion of their counseling expenses, making counseling more affordable and accessible. And, Lord willing, helping our employees to be healthier, happier and more fruitful in helping to reach the 300 million youth of Latin America with the irresistible love of Jesus!
If you would like to give to this account and help support Inca Link missionaries and staff in this way, please follow the instructions on how to do this. Thank you!
