Terrific Tuesdays 9-9-25

Happy Terrific Tuesday! We are in Guatemala City at the Alliance church in San Lucas where we are doing a tour and getting to know some people. We are very excited because we are on a vision trip, and we are with Rebecca, who has been in Quito, Ecuador, for the entire summer as a Global Coach.

  • What was your favorite thing about being a Global Coach this summer and what was your biggest challenge? One of my favorite things about global coaching this summer was being able to see believers from the entire country of the US and Canada come together and serve the Lord, and seeing that we all have something in common – to have a heart to serve. Also getting their wheels turning to think about what God is doing in their hearts and their minds. One of the challenging things is that there were more teams than we could global coach. There are just so many opportunities, especially in Ecuador and other places in South and Central America, so having to split our family was a tricky part of the summer.
  • So you have three children (ages 12, 10 and 7.5) and you moved with your whole family to Ecuador for the summer. How was that for your family? Good. There were definitely challenges along the way, anytime you go somewhere new with a family, but it was really rewarding to watch our kids engage with team members, participate in the ministry, to watch our youngest daughter set up breakfast for the teams. My husband, Shane, and I just really enjoyed watching our kids engage and be successful in mission as well. It was also an example to all of the teams that came through Quito.
  • Would you consider coming for a summer with your family and serving God, helping run short-term teams, connecting the teams with what God is doing in a country? We need more Global Coaches to come help and connect the world together as teams, families, churches, and schools come to see what God is doing around the world. Have a great week everybody.
